Always a fine drop! Consistently pleasing

A huge fan of Seven Seeds however can never get that same extraction as Baba Budan! Must be my machine though.
Love the beans and Direct Coffee service is amazing! Thank you Tim

Dark to the popint of being burnt

I found this coffee was much too darkly roasted. I enjoy a dark roast, but as an espresso or a long black, this just tasted bitter and burnt, no matter what I did with it. Milk helped tame these flavours somewhat, so as a flat white it was... serviceable.

The paper bag didn't seem to seal, air was able to move in and out freely. Not sure if this is a flaw or a feature, this bag has no valve.

I also had inexplicable channelling problems (both with this blend, and with the Seven Seeds House Blend) that left me frustrated. I'm using a single dose grinder, twin group commercial machine, WDT tool, calibrated tamper, VST basket (also tried a non VST basket, no success). I'm pretty sure it's not my equipment or technique, as I bought 9 other coffees in the same order and had no issues dialling each of those in.
