Introducing our second Kenyan release of 2024, Kianjuki. This AA lot overflows with wild fruit flavours, sweet florals, and a tea-like finish—packed full of classic Kenyan punch. This coffee is perfect for every coffee enthusiast seeking an elevated experience. We're roasting it light to preserve its tart acidity and crisp finish, making it ideal for all filter brewing applications.
Kianjuki Factory, nestled in the beautiful Embu subregion of Eastern Kenya, brings together the unique varietals of SL28, Ruiru 11, and Batian. This delightful trio creates a cup with bright acidity, a full body, and rich, fruity notes. Around 800 dedicated farmers deliver their cherries to Kianjuki Factory. Owned and operated by the Kirurumwe Farmers’ Cooperative Society (FCS) in Makengi, Embu County, the cooperative society was founded in 1963 and now runs three factories. Today, Kirurumwe FCS processes and sells approximately 25% of all the coffee produced by smallholder farmers in the region.
